If you like drinking in a prefab, with all the charm of a B&Q loading bay this would have been the bar for you.

Sandwiched between student apartments and the intercity railway line, You would think the locale of this place would make a killing, but sadly no.

It looked cheap because it was cheap. shabby and sticky from the outset

Like a student union with none of the wit or charm.

Always deathly quiet and whoever owned it mistakenly thought they had a captive student audience but the success never materialised

Stepneys was such a non-starter that I only realised it had closed a few years ago and had been converted into some awful-looking apartments
