This really is out in the sticks, google street view car hasn’t been near it . No real online presence other than it had a food hygiene rating in 2020

Ernie Adams, its popular owner, originally hails from Sion Mills, but the majority of his life, 40 years in fact, he spent at sea as a Radio Officer. In 1979 Ernie and his wife Linda bought the bar along with the off sales complex and guest house which can accommodate 8 persons.

In keeping with this sea-faring man, the large Bar and lounge has a nautical look about it.
Here you will find one of the largest collections of brass portholes (complete with lights inside them) I have seen in my travels. I counted nearly 50 of them.

There are ship wheels and adorning the walls are 44 pictures of ships that Ernie has sailed on, but he is especially proud of one particular ship – a showcase model of Inishowen Head (Ulster Steamship -Headline).

No food is served in the bar nor is there any form of entertainment.

As Ernie says, it’s very much a ‘Chatty Bar’ frequented by farmers and locals and summer migrants include fishermen and Foreign Visitors from as far as Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

In Summer Ernie finds little time for his unusual hobby, writing Novels and short stories, but he does find time for his first love, boating.

He is the proud owner of a 19-foot Cruiser which is berthed in nearby Lough Erne slightly over a mile away.
