Mountain ranges have formed quicker than progress on the former JJB Sports site on High Street West.
The building has an impressive tiled exterior on Pann Lane which is being restored along with traditional frontage facing onto High Street, in keeping with the heritage area of Mackie’s Corner and The Elephant Tea rooms
However, It seems that there have been amendments to the original internal layout with the addition of a raised VIP area and a rooftop cocktail bar which had dashed my hopes that it would be an Isis- style make over
