I dandered past Arch 2/Newcastle Brewing Ltd and it was closed, I put it down to it being January and the cost of opening outweighed the meagre takings of a historically quiet month.
Then a few weeks later Billy Bootleggers’ Instagram account sprung into life with the tedious cryptic photo of a to-let sign. After a bit of ‘Investigative Journalism’ (searching RightMove) confirmed that it was Arch 2/Newcastle Brew premises were being taken over.
Bootleggers was a great city center venue with a unique offering, how this will translate to the Ouseburn will be interesting(and hopefully successful)
The demise of Newcastle Brew Ltd hasn’t been confirmed yet, but their bar and brewing equipment being fucked into a skip suggests it has closed.
