Another Croft Inns house, it was formerly stables, but is now a pleasant theme bar in the Spanish style. Downstairs has horse stall snugs, with lights and embossed windows showing such activities in the great bodega in Jerez as grape-treading. On the floor area are large flagstones, and around the walls, bullfight and flamenco murals, but overpowering everything else are the 35 stained barrel tops sitting on top of each other. The upstairs bar is on three levels and is appropriately called The Courtyard Bar. It’s very attractive, with its imitation clinging vine, bronze bullfighter, and wrought iron railings on the insides of the windows. I particularly liked the hacienda-style roof over the serving and food bar. All in all, a well-designed theme bar.
