It began life as a Primary School, then a bar, till it was bombed in Easter 1941, and rebuilt in 1954 by Convery’s (the former owners, and the name of the bar). Kevin O’Kane had it for some time, till he passed it on to the present owners, Croft Inns. Today it’s a very distinguished-looking building, with its black and white front – more like an inn you would find in England. Look out for the two old drinking pumps outside, while inside it is olde worlde throughout.
