273 Newtownards Rd, Belfast BT4 1AF
It has just celebrated its centenary in January of this year. Over the last 15 years it has been called the Red Hand Bar, and the Ulster Arms, but when the present owners, Bob Townsley and Alan Irvine, bought it they changed it back to its original name. A bronze mural of this great sailing ship can be seen in the bar. I was informed here that the original main mast of the Great Eastern ship now proudly stands at Anfield, flying the red and white colours of Liverpool F.C.
All Water used in this bar has been passed by the owner.
